Summary:

• Some believers don’t know about the importance of The Book of Life.
• Most who know think that their name is there because they believe in Yeshua.
• Many of their names aren’t written there.

We enter New Jerusalem after our name is written in The Book of Life.

• Those things which keep us out of New Jerusalem also keep us out of The Book.
• There are 3 things that keep us out of The Book of Life.
• Trade out of these 3 things & your name will be written in The Book of Life.

 

Stumbling Blocks with Respect to The Book of Life

1. Some don’t know that they need to have their name in The Book.
2. Most who do know assume that their name is already there.
3. They assume that because they believe in Yeshua their name is there.

But is this true?

 

Let’s take a look at The Book of Life.

• What is The Book of Life?
• What is the importance of having your name written there?

What is The Book of Life?

• It is The Lamb’s Book of Life.

Who is The Lamb?

• Yeshua is The Lamb.
• As The Lamb of God He died in 2 places.
• He was slain as a Sacrifice before The Foundation of The World.
• He was slain on The Cross.
• After His Resurrection & Ascension he sat down as The Lamb.

 

Heads & Bodies

• The Body of Christ is a Body.
• The Body of Christ grows up into a Bride.
• Christ is The Head of The Body / Bride of Christ.
• The Body / Bride grows up into The Head / Bridegroom.
• Christ as Head is The Christ Headship = The King of kings.
• When you function as King of kings in Heaven you are functioning as Christ as Head.

New Jerusalem is a City / Bride.

• New Jerusalem is a Heavenly City.
• It is also a Bride.
• It is The Bride of The Lamb.
• What do we grow up into as New Jerusalem?
• We grow up into The Lamb.

The Lamb as Lamb Headship is The Lamb who has The Book of Life.

• It is The Lamb’s Book of Life.

 

There are 8 mentions of The Book of Life in scripture.

1. Paul’s fellow-workers in The Philippian Ecclesia had their names in it.
2. Those who overcome will not have their names blotted out of it.
3. All whose names are not written it will worship The Beast from The Sea.
4. Those not in it will marvel at The Beast & Babylon.
5. The Book of Life is opened at The Great White Throne.
6. Those whose names are not found written in it are cast into The Lake of Fire.
7. Only those whose names are written in The Book of Life enter New Jerusalem.
8.  Any who takes away words from The Revelation of Jesus Christ has their name blotted out of it.

 

Having your name in The Book of Life

• Some people have their names written in it.
• Some don’t.
• One who has overcome won’t have their name blotted out.

Why is it important to have our name written in The Book of Life?

• Anyone resurrected in The 2nd Resurrection will be Judged.
• The Judgment is Everlasting Judgment.
• It occurs at The Great White Throne.
• The Book of Life is opened at the time of Judgment.
• What happens if a name is not found written in The Book of Life?
• That person is cast into The Lake of Fire.
• The Lake of Fire is not Eternal Damnation.
• It is The Fire Journey for those who do not yet have their names written in The Book of Life.

1. The Baptism of The Holy Spirit & of Fire = Baptized in The River of Fire.
2. The River of Fire Journey
3. Name written in The Book of Life

Plan B

1. Cast into The Lake of Fire
2. Name written in The Book of Life

 

The biggest & most important question about The Book of Life.

• How do we get our name written in it?

 

“But there shall by no means enter it (New Jerusalem) anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”   The Revelation of Jesus Christ 21:27

 

• We can only enter New Jerusalem if our name is written in The Book of Life.

There are 2 kinds of entering.

1. Entering to look around as part of Exploring / doing Discovery.
2. Entering to drink The Water of Life & eat The Fruit of The Tree of Life.

This verse is speaking about the second kind of entering in.

• It is the same kind of entering as entering The Kingdom.
• We don’t enter The Kingdom just because we believe in Yeshua.
• We don’t enter New Jerusalem just because we believe in Yeshua.
• We don’t have our name in The Book of Life just because we believe in Yeshua.

What keeps us from entering New Jerusalem?

1. Not having our names written in The Book of Life.
2. Defiling
3. Causing an Abomination
4. Causing a Lie

These last 3 things keep our name from being written in The Book of Life.

1. Defiling
2. Causing an Abomination
3. Causing a Lie

Defiling = Unforgiveness

• = Anything that makes unclean
• Unclean is unclean in The Law of Moses sense of unclean.
• One who was unclean was not allowed to enter The Earthly Temple.
• All of New Jerusalem is like a Temple.
• No one is allowed to enter who is Unclean.
• However, this is not physically unclean.
• It is spiritually Unclean.
• It is not being made clean by The Blood of Yeshua.
• = Unforgiven & causing unforgiveness
• = keeping short accounts with God & man by asking & receiving forgiveness.

Causing an Abomination

• Abomination = Idolatry
• Worshipping an idol.
• Causing someone else to worship an Idol.

Causing a Lie

• Lying ourselves
• Causing someone else to Lie
• Lie = knowingly speaking something that isn’t true

Overcoming The Father of Lies & getting totally free from his Headship is key.

• Failure to do this keeps many believers names out of The Book of Life.
• Adam traded out of Headship of The Father of Lights.
• Adam traded into Headship of The Father of Lies.
• To trade into The Way of The Tree of Life we must first trade fully out of The Father of Lies.
• We cannot have Lies & Life.
• We have one or the other, but not both.

 

Those entering New Jerusalem have their names in The Book of Life!

• This is an easy way of knowing if your name is in The Book of Life.
• This makes sense when we think about it.

New Jerusalem is all about Life.

• The River of Life is there.
• The Tree of Life is there.
• The Fountain of The Water of Life is there.
• Death is outside New Jerusalem.
• Life is inside it.

 

How else can you know if your name is written in The Book of Life?

• Look
• Encounter
• Ask the Godhead.

 

What causes our name to be blotted out of The Book of Life?

• Taking The Mark of The Beast.
• Going backwards into once again practicing Wickedness.

Those who overcome Wickedness will not have their names blotted out of The Book of Life.

• This means that taking The Mark of The Beast is a Wicked Act.

What is Wickedness?

1. The List of 3
2. The List of  8

The List of 3 Acts of Wickedness:

1. Defiling
2. Causing an Abomination
3. Causing a Lie

The List of 8 Kinds of Wicked Men:

1. The Cowardly
2. The Unbelieving
3. The Abominable
4. The murderers
5. The Sexually Immoral
6. The Sorcerers
7. The Idolaters
8. All liars
