This is a preliminary look at Heaven.

• Where is Heaven?
• What is above Heaven?
• Where is New Jerusalem?

 

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  Genesis 1:1 NKJV

 

• The Heavens & The Earth = The Creation.
• Both are under Heaven.

 

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.”  The Revelation of Jesus Christ 21:1 NKJV

 

• The first Heaven & the first Earth = The Old Heaven & the Old Earth.

 

The Old Heavens & The Old Earth vs. The New Heavens & The New Earth

• The Old Heavens & The Old Earth have sin & death in them.
• The New Heavens & The New Earth do not have sin & death in them.

 

“Lord, when You went out from Seir, When You marched from the field of Edom, The earth trembled and the heavens poured, The clouds also poured water…”  Judges 5:4

 

• The Heavens, in this case, = The Sky / The Atmosphere.

 

“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!”  1 Kings 8:27 NKJV

 

• The Heaven of heavens is above The Heavens.

 

There are many aspects of Heaven.

• Heaven is both within us & outside of us.
• Heaven outside of us is in many levels.
• Eternity is outside of Heaven.

Heaven is both within us & outside of us.

• Heaven outside us is where The Cloud of Witnesses surround us.
• We do some things in The Heaven within us.
• We do some things in The Heaven outside of us.

I don’t know how to distinguish between Internal Heaven & External Heaven.

• Being caught up to Heaven or Taken is into Heaven outside of us.
• Anything that is done in Heaven in the Body is in External Heaven.

 

The many Levels of External Heaven (read up from lowest to highest):

• The Heaven of Heavens
• Heaven = higher than The Heavens
• The Sun, Moon, Planets & Stars including The Mazzaroth = The Heavens.
• As The Body of Christ we are seated in Heavenly Places.
• The Atmosphere / The Sky = The Heavens.

From this listing it is easy to see:

• What is above The Heavens = Above The Sun Moon, Planets & Stars
• What is under The Heavens

 

 

The Eternal Realm

• Is outside of External Heaven.
• Is Creative Light before The Heavens & The Earth were created.

 

Perfection is New Jerusalem.

• Is in Headship over Creation ( The Heavens & The Earth ).
• And is under the Headship of Yeshua as The Lamb.
• It comes down out of Heaven.

 

It is good to have a basic understanding of heavenly geography.

• A better word might be Heavenography.
• Because Geography refers to The Earth.

Why is it good to have a basic understanding of Heavenography?

• It will help you to know where you are during an Encounter.
• It is important to know if you are dwelling / living above or below The Heavens.
