Preparation for Leadership in a Heavenly Realms Ecclesia
5/30/2019
Leadership for Ecclesias functioning in heavenly realms is a new thing in the Eccelsia.
- None of us has been this way before.
- So what do the requirements for leadership look like for OUB at this time?
- We can learn some general principles by looking at the Scriptures.
The 12 trained for leadership by working with Jesus.
- They spent a lot of time with Jesus.
- They were sent out by Jesus in teams of 2 to do the same ministry that Jesus was doing.
- This was on-the-job training.
After Pentecost they began doing the full work that Jesus had been doing.
- We receive similar training to what the 12 received while Jesus walked with them on the earth.
- We also receive training to do the work that Jesus is doing since His coronation.
- Unlike most of the Ecclesia, leadership in OUB requires both kinds of training.
- This is new to all of us.
- None of us has been fully trained yet.
What other general principles can we see in the scriptures?
- We can look at the biblical requirements for those who become deacons and elders.
- I believe that some of these requirements apply to an earlier spiritual age.
- But general principles still apply.
- OUB is a living demonstration that women are elders in the Eccelsia.
Deacons:
“But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.” Selected parts of 1 Timothy 3:8-13
Elders:
- Elder, Bishop and Overseer are equivalent words in the New Testament.
“A bishop then must be … one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.” Selected parts of 1 Timothy 3:1-6
- Again, please don’t get caught up in details that may not apply to our situation.
- I am looking for general principles.
What general principles do we see here?
- One is to have proven experience before serving on the OUB Bench of 12 (OUB Bo12).
- Serve in the OUB House before ruling in the OUB House.
There is an easily overlooked key principle clearly shown here:
- An elder is seen as a father with a family who is successfully fathering his children.
How does this apply to the OUB Bo12?
- Being an experienced spiritual father is the most important requirement!
- Our spiritual sons are the proof of our spiritual fathering.
- I don’t know why I didn’t see this before.
- It is so very clear to me now.
After our recent dialog meeting of the Emerging OUB Bo12 I began asking questions.
- What is the OUB House Blueprint?
- What is the purpose of the OUB Bo12?
- What are the requirements for those who will be members of this Bench?
- I regret that I didn’t ask these questions before we began.
I have come to these conclusions:
- The OUB Bo12 is a team to be made up of proven fathers in the OUB House.
- This team of fathers work together to father the OUB House.
- This includes having oversight of the OUB House.
Jane Johnson is a visible example of what it means to be an overseer in this House.
- Jane continually monitors the spiritual health of the OUB House.
- She does regular governmental actions on behalf of this House.
Some other requirements include:
- A strong personal walk is needed that is not hindered by being on the Bench.
- A mature stage of understanding of being a king is needed.
Here is Jane’s infused knowledge sense of characteristics of OUB Bo12 members:
- Clear calling to oub for some time evidenced by heart to lead things for a significant period.
- Heart for Interface with the universal Ecclesia.
- Ability to see the big picture and eventually seeing overseeing as a key mandate.
- Willingness to not always prioritize our personal mandate but be happy to support other’s mandates which becomes the one family mandate.
- Able to build a good dynamic with other bench members.
- Has a strong personal walk that will not be compromised by the responsibility of the Bo12.
- Has reached a mature stage of understanding of being a king.
