“You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shall fear your God: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:14

We are commanded to not put a Stumbling Block before a blind person.

King Balak wanted Prophet Balaam to curse Israel for him.

He offered to pay Prophet Balaam a lot of money to do this.

Prophet Balaam tried to curse Israel, but God wouldn’t let him.

So Prophet Balaam taught King Balak to put a Stumbling Block before Israel.

This resulted in Israel voluntarily trading out of the Blessing of the Law.

They trading into the Curse of the Law.

Israel cursed herself.

Thousands of Israelites died by plague.
What was the Stumbling Block?

Some of the Kings attractive young women invited Israelite men to an idol feast.

The men ate food that had been sacrificed to the idols.
-
And committed sexual immorality as part of worshiping the idols.
The Ecclesia at Pergamos was allowing people to teach the same thing.

This was allowing those teachers to put the same Stumbling Block before them.
-
The same Stumbling Block that King Balak put before Israel.
-
With the same result: Death.
What is a Stumbling Block?

It is something placed before you on your Journey.
-
You can’t see it.
-
You stumble over it and fall.
-
As a result you pause on your Journey and die early.
Now you know what a Stumbling Block is.

Answer #1: We can’t see a Stumbling Block because we are blind because of our Wrong Trading.

Answer #3: We can’t see a Stumbling Block because we didn’t heed a warning.
“Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.” Ezekiel 3:20
We can’t see a Stumbling Block because of our Wrong Trading.

When this happens we stumble over the Stumbling Block.

The Stumbling Block is there because of our Wrong Trading.

We stumble.

If we don’t Trade Out of the Stumbling Block we die.
We can’t see a Stumbling Block because we didn’t heed a warning.

The Stumbling Block is in our path because of our own Wrong Trading.

We can’t see it because of our Wrong Trading.

We refuse to hear the warning about the Stumbling Block.

We stumble over it.

We pause our Journey.

If we don’t Trade Out of the Stumbling Block we die.
