Jerusalem is a Tabernacle

This article is teaching article that explains truth.

Introduction:

Jerusalem is a tabernacle in Tabernacles.

Body:

What is a tabernacle?

A tabernacle is a tent. This is clearly seen here in Isaiah 33:20 NKJV:

“Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet home,
A tabernacle that will not be taken down;
Not one of its stakes will ever be removed,
Nor will any of its cords be broken.” Isaiah 33:20b and c NKJV

With respect to Tabernacles:

1) Jerusalem is “a tabernacle that will not be taken down”.
2) “Not one of its stakes will ever be removed”.
3) “Nor will any of its cords be broken”.

Jerusalem is a tent that will not be taken down.

1) The tent has been set up.
2) It will not be taken down.

None of Jerusalem’s stakes will ever be removed.

1) Tent stakes hold a tent up.
2) Cords are tied to the tent.
3) Cords are tied to tent stakes.
4) The tent stakes keep the tent up.

Not one of Jerusalem’s cords will ever be broken.

1) The tent cords will always be attached to the tent stakes.
2) The cords will always be attached to the tent.
3) The tent cords keep the tent up.

This scripture reveals that with respect to The Feast of Tabernacles Jerusalem is a tent with cords and stakes that hold it up.

1) The tent will not be taken down.
2) The tent stakes will never be removed.
3) The tent cords will never be broken.

Tents in Scripture:

First Mention of “tent” or “tents” in scripture is in Genesis 4:

“And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.” Genesis 4:20 NKJV

Men dwell in tents.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob dwelt in tents:

“By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise…” Hebrews 11:9 NKJV

Paul compares our mortal body to a tent:

“For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal (aionios) in the heavens.” 2 Corinthians 5:1 NKJV

“For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.” 2 Corinthians 5:4 NKJV

We dwell in a mortal tent awaiting a heavenly body in the heavens after death. The mortal tent is destroyed by death.

There are 2 possible things that can happen to us while in this mortal body:

1) We are unclothed by mortal death and given a building, a heavenly body in the heavens.
2) We are further clothed by having our mortal body changed to an immortal body. In this case we remain in an immortal tent.

The Word Tabernacling in flesh:

The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us:

And the Word became flesh and dwelt (tabernacled) among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV

This scripture speaks of 2 phases of Jesus’ life:

1) His life on the earth before his death

2) His life after his resurrection

During his life on the earth he was both God and man.

1) The Word was God.

2) Jesus was a man.

The Word before he began to tabernacle among us:

1) The Word was with God at the time of the creating and making of The Earth.

2) The Word was God.

3) All things were made by him.

4) Nothing was made that wasn’t made by him.

The Word while he tabernacled among us:

1) The word became flesh. This is God indwelling man. This indwelling began at conception.

2) Dwelling is tabernacling. Tabernacling is dwelling in a tent.

3) The Word tabernacled among us.

Jesus:

1) Jesus was conceived.

2) He was born.

3) He grew up.

4) He began his ministry at 30 years old.

5) He died.

6) He was buried.

7) He was resurrected.

😎 He ascended.

9) He sat down on Thrones.

10) He began to rule.

The Word / Jesus was begotten twice:

1) God by The Spirit begot him when he was conceived.

2) The Father begot him by resurrecting him from the dead.

The Spirit begot him when he was conceived:

‘Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” ’ Luke 1:30-34 NKJV

The Father begot him by resurrecting him from the dead.

“For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son” ’? Hebrews 1:5 NKJV

‘So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” ’ Hebrews 5:5 NKJV

The Word after Jesus was resurrected:

“… we beheld His (The Word’s) glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Tabernacling = dwelling in a tent.

1) Mortal Man dwells in a Mortal Body that is a mortal tent that is also a mortal house.
2) After his conception and before Jesus’ death The Word dwelt in an Immortal Body that is an immortal tent that is also an immortal house. This is a body that has entered into Immortal Life, but has not yet inherited Immortal Life. Immortal Life is inherited after resurrection.
3) After his resurrection The Word dwelt in an immortal body that has inherited Immortal Life. This Immortal Body is a house that is no longer a tent.

Glory

1) The Spirit is The Glory.
2) The Word had Glory both before entering into Jesus’ flesh and after his resurrection.

The Spirit is The Glory.

“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them (The 11 Apostles), that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:22-23 NKJV

The Word had Glory both before entering into Jesus’ flesh and after his resurrection.

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” John 17:24 NKJV

The Son wanted The 11 to be with him where he will be after his resurrection, ascension and seating. There The 11 will behold The Glory of The Word that he has had since before the foundation of The World. The World was founded when it was made during creation week.

The Word’s / Jesus’ Spirit, Soul and Body:

Man was made in the image and likeness of:

1) God
2) The Word who was both with God and was God at the time of man being made.
3) Wisdom
4) The Sons of God

There are 3 levels of Godship for The First Person of The Godhead:

1) God, and The Word with God and as God, both in The Realm of Eternity
2) The First Person as The Father, The Majesty on High, The Ancient of Days and The Power of God. The Second Person sits as man with or at the right hand of The First Person. We know that he sits as man there because he ascended there as The Son of God and as The Son of Man. Both of these identities are man. Neither of these identities are God. This is all in The Realm of The Heaven of heavens or The Realm of Perfection.
3) The First Person as The LORD God Almighty. The Second Person sits as God as The LORD God Almighty. The Second Person sits as man as The Lamb and stands as man as The Word of God. This is in The Realm of Heaven.

God in the first level of Godship is Spirit. Scripture says this. Does God also have a Soul and a Body? He must since we are made in his image and likeness and we have a Soul and a Body.

Jesus as man has a Spirit, Soul and Body as man.

What is the importance of seeing this?

It is important to see what Spirits, Souls and Bodies The Word / Jesus had while on the Earth.

Jesus has a Spirit, Soul and Body as a man since his conception.

The Word had the Spirit, Soul and Body of God while he was on The Earth tabernacling in Jesus’ Body.

How did this work?

This is a Discovery question.

My preliminary answer to this Discovery question is:

1) The 2 Spirits were one Spirit
2) The 2 Souls were one Soul
3) The 2 Bodies were one Body

Why is this important to see?

During Tabernacles The Word will tabernacle in our flesh just as The Word tabernacled in Jesus’ flesh. Jesus flesh was flesh that had entered into Immortal Life, but had not yet inherited Immortal Life after being changed by resurrection.

This is the definition of Tabernacles. Tabernacles is The Word dwelling / tabernacling in flesh that has entered Immortal Life. This is the definition of Tabernacles.

It is also the definition of Jerusalem in Isaiah 33:20b:

“Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet home, A tabernacle that will not be taken down; Not one of its stakes will ever be removed, Nor will any of its cords be broken.” Isaiah 33:20b NKJV

Jerusalem is:

1) A quiet home
2) A tabernacle

Jerusalem is a Body that is a quiet home for The Spirit, Soul and body of The Word and also for our Spirit and Soul. This is while living in Tabernacles.

Jerusalem will not be taken down. This means that Jerusalem will not die Mortal Death.

Jerusalem will change. It will change from having entered into Immortality to having inherited Immortality.

A Summary of The Doctrine of Jerusalem:

1) Jerusalem is a plural name.
2) Jerusalem is both an individual name and a corporate / group name.
3) Jerusalem is many Heavenly Cities.

Jerusalem is a plural name:

My previous understanding of this is that Jerusalem is both Old Jerusalem and New Jerusalem. Now I see that it is Old Jerusalem in Passover, New Jerusalem in Pentecost and Jerusalem as a tabernacle in Tabernacles.

Jerusalem is both an individual name and a corporate name:

My previous understanding of this was that Jerusalem is both individual and corporate as New Jerusalem. Now I see that New Jerusalem as both individual and corporate is in Pentecost. I also see that it is both individual and corporate in Tabernacles.

Now I see one more thing:

Jerusalem transitions from Pentecost to Tabernacles when New Jerusalem lands on The Earth. This is both personal and corporate. It will happen on The Earth Timeline for corporate Jerusalem. It happens for individual Forerunners when The Word enters into them to tabernacle in them. It will happen for the individuals who make up corporate New Jerusalem when New Jerusalem corporately lands on The Earth.

“Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” The Revelation of Jesus Christ 21:2-3 NKJV

New Jerusalem is The Tabernacle of God in Pentecost.

1) While she is in Heaven
2) While she is coming down from Heaven
3) After she has landed on The Earth

New Jerusalem is:

1) A Heavenly City
2) A tent

Summary:

Jerusalem is The Word tabernacling in flesh in Tabernacles.

1) The Word tabernacled in Jesus’ flesh while Jesus fulfilled Tabernacles.
2) The Word will tabernacle in our flesh while we fulfill Tabernacles.
